About Us

From as young as 18 months, Janice Marshall Stage School offers something for everyone. We have a fantastic Boogie Babies and Nursery programme designed to develop confidence and promote artistry along with a wide variety of lessons in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Street, our Showtime Youth Theatre Department and our Musical Theatre Department. We are proud to maintain the highest standards of training while providing a fun, supportive and inspiring environment for every student to learn, grow and shine.

The Janice Marshall Stage School officially opened its doors in Irvine, Ayrshire in 1969. The school has rapidly grown since then, with many of our talented students going off in different directions to pursue theatrical careers. There have been many changes over the last 57 years; particularly the vast range of dance classes now available for children of all age groups (from 1.5 years and up). Our mission is to allow our students to express their artistic needs in a fun and friendly environment whilst developing individuality and confidence, all led by the highly experienced staff of the Stage School.

The school offers a wide variety of classes, ranging from Boogie Babies and Nursery programmes to RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap, commercial and much more. Our Musical Theatre Department gives students the opportunity to develop their skills in Drama and Singing, as our Showtime Youth Theatre provides exciting opportunities to perform.

With three shows each year, including a spectacular full scale production, alongside a variety of additional performance opportunities, there are plenty of chances for our students to take to the stage and showcase their talents.
