At The Janice Marshall Stage School, we encourage our students look the part for their classes. We kindly ask that all our students follow the below guidelines in order for them to look and feel like professional artists.

Monday 

Theatre 1–3:

• Leggings and JMSS T-shirt

• Hair neatly tied back

Theatre 4+

• Leotard and black footless tights.

• Hair neatly tied back

Tuesday

• Correct leotard and ballet tights.

• Hair in a neat ballet bun. (Students with short hair should have it pulled back from the face)

Wednesday

• Leggings/joggers & JMSS T-shirt

• Trainers

• Hair neatly tied back.

Thursday 

• Leotard and black footless tights.

• Hair must be in a neat ballet bun or securely tied back from the face.

Saturday

• Correct leotard and tights.

• Hair in a neat ballet bun. (Students with short hair should have it pulled back from the face)

• Ballet shoes must have elastic across the ankle to provide the correct support for the foot

All uniform and shoes can be purchased or ordered from us, please drop us a message. 

Correctly fitted dance shoes are important to ensure your child's feet are properly supported and to help them dance safely and comfortably. This is why we strongly recommend purchasing dance shoes through us. Ballet shoes must have elastic across the ankle to provide the correct support. 

Snacks & Drinks

Younger students may bring a small snack to have during their break.

Students can also bring water or diluted juice to class. Please do not bring fizzy drinks.

Labelling Uniform

Please ensure that all items of uniform are clearly labelled with your child's name. This helps us identify and return any misplaced clothing or belongings.
